Description
The Pacific National Guard (PNG) was established in 1852, shortly after Pacifica achieved formal statehood. Originally formed as the Pacifica State Militia, in its early years, the militia consisted mostly of volunteer harbor workers. Following modernization reforms in 1903, the militia was officially reorganized as the Pacific National Guard, aligning its structure with federal military standards while maintaining state control under the Governor of Pacifica. Today, the Pacific National Guard functions as the official military force of the State of Pacifica and may be placed into federal service by the President of the United States of Fredon in support of national defense and federal missions.
