Description
🥬 Napoleonic Bavaria 🥬 - from 1806 to 1815, was a key player in Europe's shifting dynamics. Established as the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1806, it emerged from the Holy Roman Empire's end. Under King Maximilian I Joseph, Bavaria allied with Napoleon Bonaparte, gaining territories like parts of Franconia and Swabia. As a member of the Confederation of the Rhine, a French satellite, Bavaria contributed troops to Napoleon's campaigns. This alignment brought economic and administrative reforms, modernizing its infrastructure. However, with Napoleon's decline, the Congress of Vienna in 1815 reshaped Europe’s borders, restoring and adjusting territories. Bavaria retained its status but faced new geopolitical realities, influencing its role in the German Confederation.
