Description
The 107th Shock Trooper Battalion is a hybrid Marine/ODST formation created in 2539 as part of ONI’s Aureole Initiative — an experimental program to embed ONI assets directly into frontline ODST units for live intelligence gathering and rapid-response covert operations. Though nominally under UNSC Marine Corps command, the 107th is considered an ONI “deniable asset”. Public records list them as a “specialized orbital assault battalion,” but their true role includes black operations, recovery of classified technology, assassination of high-value Covenant targets, and suppression of internal human insurgencies.
