Description
In the late 1870s, a small but dedicated group of occult practitioners began to coalesce into what would become known as The Coven. This group was not a formal organization but rather a loose confederation of individuals united by their shared interests in occult practices and their need for community. The Coven’s members included settlers seeking spiritual answers, outlaws hoping to harness occult forces for protection, and native practitioners who preserved their traditional beliefs amidst the encroachment of settler culture. Despite the absence of formal structure, The Coven provided a vital service to its members. It became a haven for those who practiced witchcraft, paganism, and other esoteric traditions, offering a degree of acceptance and security that was otherwise hard to find in the frontier. It was a place where individuals could explore their beliefs without fear of persecution, where old world paganism and new world struggles intermixed in a unique blend of spirituality
