The Metro Vancouver Regional District is a subdivision of the Greater Vancouver metropolitan area in the province of British Columbia, Canada. Bisected by the Fraser River, the region consists of a beautiful geographical makeup of vibrant rainforests, craggy mountain peaks, glacial lakes, and an expansive coastline. Established originally as the City of Surrey on March 28, 2019, it has since expanded into a metropolitan region, encompassing 23 local authorities including: 21 municipalities, one electoral area and one treaty First Nation. The region is governed by a board consisting of elected representatives from the 23 regional members and headed by a Chairperson. . This group is a fictitious depiction and is not intended to impersonate any real life government or any entity affiliated with the real-life Metro Vancouver Regional District, province of British Columbia, or any other Canadian political entity.
