The Miami Fire Department (MFD) serves as Project Florida’s primary emergency response and fire rescue agency. MFD is responsible for protecting life, property, and public safety through rapid emergency response, advanced medical care, fire suppression, and technical rescue operations across the state. MFD personnel are highly trained in EMS, structural firefighting, vehicle extrications, hazardous materials response, and disaster operations.
