German culture and civilization were fostered in the Bavarian Highlands from which they spread across Europe. Centuries up until the Napoleonic Wars, Bavaria stood as one of the most powerful Electorates in the Holy Roman Empire. After Napoleon's Invasion of Prussia in 1806 & the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire, the Rhinebund was forged. Bavaria saw Napoleon & France as a partner in creating a new world order. The Bavarian Army consistently contributed 30,000 soldiers to the Grande Armee & made up the French 7th Corps. Bavarians were highly regarded warriors eager for a fight. Whenever they crossed paths, Bavarians were cheered on as they passed the Imperial Guard. Units: 1. Linien Infanterie Regiment 'König' 2. Linien Infanterie Regiment 'Kronprinz'
