Description
Close Protection is defined as the preventative and reactive measures taken by trained personnel to protect a person who is specifically or generally at threat from assassination, kidnapping, terrorism, or other illegal acts. The Close Protection Unit provides highly trained, certified, and skilled close protection officers to support VIPs and enables their freedom of movement and protection in high-threat environments overseas. Within this, CPU's roles and responsibilities include operational planning, conducting reconnaissance, liaison, and providing individually assigned bodyguards, personal escort sections, security advance parties, and residential security teams.
