Description
Insulted by Great Britain’s failure to comply with international and maritime law, the United States sought vengeance in the form of the War of 1812. After a string of disastrous defeats inflicted by battle-hardened British Regulars, the United States Army was reformed and reorganized. Old commanders were cast out, and young blood filled the veins of the aged American Forces. The United States Army re-emerged in 1814 as a formidable and capable force, proven to be on par with that of even the most seasoned of British troops.
