Description
The Parachute Regiment is one of Britain's most distinguished military units, and the envy of the world. Having formed in 1942 as a respose to the German Fallschirmjägers, the Paras went on to serve with distinction in North Africa and Europe, distinguishing themselves at the Battle of Arnhem 1944. The Parachute regiment went on to serve in Egypt, Cyprus, Kuwait, Northern Ireland and the Falklands.
