𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐔𝐋 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐑 𝐃𝐄 𝐋𝐔𝐏𝐓𝐀 "𝙏𝙞𝙨𝙖" The first armored battalion or "battle chariots" of the Romanian Army was established on August 1, 1919. This famous military unit was formed with French-made tanks, which arrived near Giurgiu in December 1919. As early as the spring of 1919, the Romanian Ministry of War had planned to set up both a school and a battalion of battle chariots, a goal formalized by a contract between the Romanian and French governments.
