Description
The 29th Georgia Infantry Regiment organized in the Summer of 1861, and first saw action at the Battle of Port Royal. They would later see action at Chickamauga, Chattanooga, and the Atlanta Campaign. After the battle of Bentonville, they capitulated. The men of Company A, otherwise known as the 'Thomasville Zouaves', wore a unique pattern of Zouave-esk uniforms.
