When the NWC was forced to merge with the HBC in 1820, we broke off from the HBC and continued the NWC within the United States. 𝐑𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐫, 𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐖𝐂 𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚. ----------- The Militia made up of well trained Soldiers and Mercenaries to defend the North West Company and it's territory.
