Though once a vassal under Byzantium, Croatia now asserts full autonomy amid Byzantium's growing instability. Octavium, through its client state Latium, is advancing through Slovenia, seeking to extend its influence in the Balkans. A brutal clash at Grahovo, a land long viewed by Croatians as part of their historical and territorial inheritance, sparked the purge of pro-Octavium sympathisers, with Crown Prince Herkoslav famously calling Octavian Latium a "rotting corpse wearing Roman armour". ♚▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬♚▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬♚ 𝐆𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓: A Monarchy, ruled by King Adaemar II—our sovereign and supreme commander.
