Description
In 1809, civilian unrest grew within the county of Tyrol, due to harsh laws and forced conscription into the then Kingdom of Bavaria's military in the coalition wars against Napoleon's enemies. By April, civilian riflemen companies formed under the leadership of Andreas Hofer, funded by the Austrian Empire, the riflemen began brutal guerilla warfare against the Bavarian & French armies, lasting until November of the same year. ----------------------------------- Waterloo at Home unofficial nation.
