Description
In medieval times, battles were often fought with swords, axes, and maces. Soldiers engaged in brutal hand-to-hand combat, trying to break through enemy lines. Archers would release volleys of arrows to weaken the opposing forces before the main clash. The noise was overwhelming, with the clash of steel, the screams of the wounded, and the battle cries of those still fighting. Wars throughout history have varied greatly in their nature and scale, but they often share some common elements. Here’s a general description of what a fight in a war might involve.
