The murder of Irish mobsters Frank Wallace and Bernard Walsh by the Italian Mafia has sparked a violent war, with the South End becoming a brutal battleground. Smaller street gangs, volatile wildcards, seizing the chaos as an opportunity, add to the instability as they fight to carve out their own territories. These factions have even infiltrated the labor unions, using them to control industries, extort workers, and expand their influence into the city's economy. Boston Police detectives and beat officers alike struggle to maintain order in the city. Corruption is rampant, touching every corner of the city, with everyone from street hustlers to union leaders having a price.
