Special Operations Group | CIA #35086734
Description
The CIA’s Special Operations Group traces its lineage back to the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) during World War II. OSS operatives conducted sabotage, guerrilla warfare, and deep-cover espionage across Europe and Asia. After the OSS was dissolved in 1945, its paramilitary capability was inherited by the CIA, forming the Special Activities Division (SAD) in the early Cold War.
