Legio IX Hispana ("9th Hispanian Legion") ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ⯀ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ The 9th Hispanian Legion (Legio IX Hispana) was one of the most prestigious and battle-hardened legions of the Roman Empire. Originally raised by Julius Caesar, the 9th Legion earned its name through its campaigns in Hispania, where it played a critical role in subduing rebellious tribes and expanding Roman control.
