The Crowned Republic of Paradis #351326963
Description
The “Crowned Republic” represents a deliberate compromise born from crisis: the royal bloodline retains sacred and strategic authority, while elected bodies manage civilian governance. This system was designed to unify the fractured factions of Paradis: royalists, Yeagerists, military reformers, and the common people, under one stable banner while presenting a more “civilized” face to the wary international community. After the Shiganshina Demonstration, Paradis stood as the world’s most feared military power, yet internally it was on the verge of civil war. Yeagerist radicals clashed with royal loyalists, while the general population demanded both security and reform. Historia Reiss, advised by surviving key figures, proposed the Crowned Charter of 855. This document created the hybrid system: the monarchy would endure as a stabilizing symbol and guardian of Eldia, while republican institutions would give the people a voice and prevent the rise of another tyrant.
