House Meridale #35140614
Description
"Loyalty Pays Dividends" Although House Meridale traces their origins all the way back to Old Dalecia and holds tradition as sacred their longevity also derives from their ability to change. Following the upheaval of the Bedlam which saw scion turn on scion, Countess Floria Meridale decreed that the House must guarantee the rights and privileges of its junior members. Thus a secundogeniture which holds dominion over the isle of Glaedia came to be enshrined in House law. Since its inception no Meridale has drawn sword against their own and the Line of Glaedwyne has continued to be preserved and safeguarded. By tradition the secundogeniture and its estates are managed by the foremost heir to the County. However, the role of Custodian of the Secundogeniture can be held by anyone appointed by the majority of the family. The current Custodian is Oswin Meridale, cousin and highest trustee of Count Adelwine Meridale.
