Description
In days long departed, Karthus flourished, clad in shimmering regalia; yet its lord gave in to shadows deep, his heart surrendered to rituals blackened and festal halls woven in sacrifice. Once laughter graced its streets, but now, by pallid moonlight bound in spectral silence, Citadel Karthus stands bereft, shunned by those who walk with breath. And lo, after years of yawning void, strange souls drift upon its winds, drawn to hollowed walls by mystic whispers; for the Court of Creationists holds vigil, hidden and unbroken, their wordage entwining with that which slumbers beneath. Refugees, scorned by war’s cruelty, now seek Karthus for haven; in sibilant voices they speak, huddled beneath the gaze of Kahrah's cursed nightfall. Though its creaking stones weep with sorrowed souls and light sears pale upon them, they lie yet in rest, hearts aflame to stake a claim within this abode of phantoms.
