Neoabsolutism is a doctrine which has emerged from the post-war era harking back to the times after the Concert of Europe when the Austrian von Metternich attempted to capitalise on counter-revolutionary fervour and holdouts of the fading Absolutist Age. The doctrine believes in the restoration of total and absolute monarchy, and for removing the separation between Church and state established by the Enlightenment and French Revolution. Neoabolutism seeks to break down these barriers and re-establish the Ancien Régime across Europe by taking the best of the post-Enlightenment period and the age of Absolutism.
