Welcome to the Famous Maroon Band, a 117-year tradition at Mississippi State University, where we take great pride in our rich history and commitment to excellence. We invite you to join our vibrant community, attend a practice session, meet our esteemed Director Daniel J Allen Jr, and register for free. Our practice sessions are held every Monday and Wednesday, providing ample opportunities for you to engage with our talented musicians. Our staff collaborates closely with Coach Bando Redd, the Head Coach of the football team, to ensure a seamless and exciting experience. To join the marching band, we encourage you to contact our friendly band staff, who will guide you through the process. As a member of the Famous Maroon Band, you will have the opportunity to take on leadership roles, participate in yearly band trips, and be part of a close-knit family that values camaraderie and teamwork. At MSU, we pride ourselves on fostering a sense of belonging and community.
