Description

The State Council (SC), also known as the Central People's Government, is the chief administrative authority of the People's Republic of China. As the executive branch of the Chinese government, it is responsible for implementing policies, laws, and regulations set by the National People's Congress (NPC). Headed by the Premier, the State Council comprises Vice Premiers, State Councilors, ministers in charge of various ministries and commissions, and other senior officials. The SC’s primary responsibilities include economic management, public administration, foreign policy, national defense, and social development.
