Die Nationale Volksarmee (The National People's Army) were the armed forces of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) from 1956 to 1990. They were formed on 1 March 1956 under Soviet influence and were considered as one of the best militaries in the Warsaw Pact, from it's discipline, thoroughness of training, the quality of officer leadership and doctrine. This faction represents a structured military system modeled after the GDRs armed forces, consisting of the Landstreitkräfte (Army) and the Volksmarine (Navy). It is built around discipline, hierarchy, and coordinated operations between both branches under a unified command structure led by High Command and the Marschall. Members progress through a clear rank system, participate in training, events, and operations, and contribute to the overall effectiveness of their respective branch.
