Custodes Imperii #35213837
Description
The Praetorian Guard— The steel shadow behind the throne. Born of the Republic’s wars, they first stood as protectors of our great generals, their shields gleaming in the sun as they marched in triumph. But now, under the empire, they guard not just a man but the very heart of Rome, the Imperials. They are the emperor’s chosen, the elite, drawn from the finest blood of the legions. To see them is to behold power itself. Their armor shines brighter, their swords strike swifter, and their loyalty, they say, is unbreakable. Yet, in whispers, some say their loyalty is bought with gold more than honor. They have crowned emperors and struck them down when their will wavered. Still, none dare question their place. For when the Guard marches, even the mightiest senator bows, and when their swords are raised, the very streets of Rome fall silent. They are more than soldiers; they are the empire’s strength, its shield—and, some would say, its dagger. "Fidelitas usque ad mortem"
