In order to receive respect, we must give respect to others. Respect is about recognizing the sovereignty of others. No relationship can be healthy without respect. Respect and courtesy are acts of compassion and caring. Being respectful acknowledges the uniqueness of other people. Respect and love go hand-in-hand. Always approach a new person with respect. Give respect until someone shows you they don't deserve it. A little respect goes a long way. I'd rather be respected than popular. When you have self-respect, others will respect you. Treat everyone with respect, no matter what their station in life. Nobody is beneath you or above you. Imagine how much better the world would be if we all started to respect one another.
