Description
After gold was discovered at Dreamer's Mill on January 24, 1848, the City of Pinecrest quickly became a bustling hub for prospectors and settlers, drawn by the promise of riches during the Harmonia Gold Rush. This rapid influx of people and resources transformed the region into a thriving center of activity almost overnight. On September 9, 1850, the State of Harmonia was officially established, marking a significant milestone in the area's development. The gold rush ultimately came to an end five years later, in 1855. On October 31, 1864, the State of Harmonia expanded its territory towards the east 322 miles. Most of this new land is a desert landscape. Decades later, on July 4, 1961, the City of Pinecrest was designated a historical landmark, commemorating its pivotal role in the gold rush era. Despite its historical status, the city continues to operate as a vibrant community to this day. The State of Harmonia community is developed by WestWARE.
