A. Souverain & Son Located in New York City, United States of America “Fabricae hereditatis, formata traditione.” From Georges Souverain, born in Nice, France, the Souverain family started. The family moved to Corsica and then Venice. Slowly and steadily, they started producing fine items. The tradition grown there eventually caught up with much fame and helped them earn their fortune. The family business in cooperate terms was founded by Henri, the direct descendant of Georges, in 1919, built upon the values and resilience the family forged in the years following World War I. As was common with many other companies, the company struggled through the Great Depression and eventually closed its doors. Yet Souverain's legacy did not die there. Years later, the direct descendant of Henri, Alessandro, brought the family name back to life in New York, restarting the business, now under the name A. Souverain & Son, with the same promise to quality.
