👮 Our Aim and Job as the Specialist Firearms Command MO19, the Metropolitan Police's Specialist Firearms Command, is a highly specialized unit responsible for handling high-risk situations involving firearms, explosives, or terrorist threats. Officers in MO19 respond to dangerous incidents such as armed robberies, active shooter scenarios, hostage rescues, and counter-terrorism operations. They are a vital part of the UK's counter-terrorism strategy, often working alongside CTSFOs (Counter Terrorism Specialist Firearms Officers).
