Description

ROYAL ATLANTIC LINE OFFICIAL GROUP “The Atlantic and Beyond!” The Royal Steam Navigation Line (RSNL) was founded in 1845 in Liverpool, England. For its first few years of operation, RSNL focused on routes primarily to the Mediterranean, such as Italy, Greece and Turkey. In 1860, when their first transatlantic steamship entered service, the company also began branding themselves with a more stylish name - Royal Atlantic Line. Under this name, Royal Atlantic Line would grow to become one of Britain’s most prestigious shipping lines and a household name around the world, with famous ships like Arcadian, Birmingham and Wrexham. In 1918, Royal Atlantic Line moved their headquarters to London, England, as Liverpool was no longer a major focus for the line. In 1997, Royal Atlantic Line was acquired by Carnival Corporation & PLC and they now operate a fleet of modern and luxurious cruise ships.
