Oranje-Vrystaatse Leër. #35304198
Description
•The Anglo Boer Wars.• •Community - The Highveld Wars.• •Timeline - First Anglo-Boer War. • The Boer army under the Orange Free State was a citizen militia, relying heavily on the commando system where men were called upon to defend their land during times of conflict. Comprised mainly of farmers skilled in marksmanship and guerrilla tactics, it was an adaptable and mobile force suited for the rugged South African terrain. Lacking a formal structure or uniform, the Boer fighters emphasized independence and resourcefulness, often blending seamlessly into their environment.
