Union of Columbia Civil Air Patrol #35337807
Community & socialENdisaster reliefsearch and rescuevolunteer organization
Description
The Civil Air Patrol, State of Mayflower, was established in May 1927 as an informal volunteer association of aviators committed to providing air support and reconnaissance during the Great Columbian Flood Relief Efforts. Started as a loose confederation of private pilots, the organization soon found itself playing an essential role in supporting the federal and state disaster response operations. Today, the Union of Columbia Civil Air Patrol operates as a vital component of the State of Mayflower's emergency response framework. It performs a broad range of missions, including search-and-rescue operations, disaster relief, and aerospace education. The organization remains a volunteer force, dedicated to supporting both state and federal efforts in times of need.
