Description
The Nocturne Independent Armed Forces emerged following a structured internal schism within the Aegis Nocturne Directorate. The separation was driven by systemic command rigidity, political interference in operational decision-making, and enforced compliance with directives deemed strategically unsound by multiple senior cells. Rather than dissolve, these elements withdrew intact, retaining personnel, doctrine, and combat capability. Despite the split, NIAF and AEGIS maintain a conditional operational relationship. Both forces share select bases, logistics nodes, and staging facilities. Joint operations occur when objectives align, and AEGIS is authorised to defend NIAF personnel when attacks occur within shared facilities or when NIAF units are formally attached to AEGIS-led operations.

Growth
Growth history is still building. We hold one measurement for this entry. A trend needs at least two, taken days apart — so this will fill in on its own rather than being estimated. We do not publish numbers we have not measured.
