According to legend, the order was formed by a group of warriors who sought to protect the world from unseen forces that thrived in the shadows—beings of darkness and malevolence that sought to plunge the world into eternal night. The origins of the order trace back to a catastrophic event known as the Nightfall War, where ancient dark sorcerers summoned an army of shadow creatures that began to consume light itself. In the aftermath of this war, a powerful and enigmatic figure, known only as the Shade Lord, appeared.
