𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐌𝐎𝐍 𝐈𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐒 𝐂𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐋 𝐖𝐀𝐑 𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟖 - 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟑 The Solomon Islands civil war, often referred to as "The Tensions," was a period of ethnic violence that took place between 1998 and 2003, primarily centered around conflict between the indigenous Guadalcanal people and the larger Malaitan population, leading to widespread unrest, displacement, and a near collapse of the government, ultimately prompting international intervention by a regional force led by Australia known as RAMSI (Regional Assistance Mission to the Solomon Islands) to restore order 𝐉𝐎𝐈𝐍 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓
