16 Air Assault Brigade, Afghanistan is dedicated to providing hearts and minds to the Helmand province region of Afghanistan, our mission is to provide security to the region, comprised of units and specialized skills, the force is capable of providing a multitude of force in some of the harshest conditions, with our quick reaction force integrity. The 16 Air Assault Brigade is currently, comprised of 216 Air Assault Signal Squadron, Royal Signals, 51 Parachute Squadron, 23 Engineer Regiment (Air Assault) Royal Engineers & 1st Airborne Troop, 49 Field Squadron (EOD) RE & 14 Signal Regiment (Electronic Warfare), Royal Signals, these elements are able to provide top class fighting ability to gain an edge of our opposing forces.
