Description
COMMITTEES FOR THE DEFENSE OF THE REVOLUTION | Comités de Defensa de la Revolución CDR ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (Comités de Defensa de la Revolución, CDR) are grassroots-level organizations deeply integrated into Cuban society, established following the Cuban Revolution in 1960. The CDR plays a pivotal role in promoting revolutionary unity, monitoring community welfare, and safeguarding the national ideals of the Cuban state. CDRs operate at the neighborhood level, with each community forming its own committee to oversee local affairs and support the policies of the PCC. Their primary functions include ensuring social cohesion, providing basic services, and facilitating mass mobilization for revolutionary events. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ "For the Revolution, for the People, Together We Will Overcome!" | "¡Por la Revolución, por el Pueblo, Juntos Venceremos!"
