Her music is a mix of R&B-inflected pop, folk storytelling, & old hip hop. Lola was born in Croydon to a Jamaican-Chinese father and English mother. She began piano, guitar, and singing lessons at age six and developed a love of songwriting by age 11. Fast forward to 2019, Lola signed with 𝙄𝙨𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙨, releasing her 𝙙𝙚𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙚 and 𝙀𝙋. She continued music during the pandemic & 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 2021. She gained quite the popularity in 2024 due to two hit singles; "Messy". And a song collab with Tyler, The Creator "Like Him (ft.
