Description
The Ōuchi Clan Legend has it that the Ouchi were decedents of the prince of Baekje, a province in Korea. Historically, the Ōuchi were a powerful clan based in Suō who were involved very frequently in trade with foreign countries, particularly China. After the Ōnin War, the Ōuchi clashed with the Hosokawa at Ningbo (In China) and as a result, the Chinese closed Ningbo to the Japanese traders.
