The Russian Armed Forces are a group of military forces of the Russian Federation entrusted with the defense of the state. They include the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Strategic Rocket Forces. The largest and most powerful in the world, among others, is the Russian Army, which conducts operations on land with heavy equipment such as tanks and artillery. The Navy provides ships, submarines, and aircraft, while the Air Force handles air defense and strikes. The Strategic Rocket Forces command the most sophisticated nuclear missile arsenal of Russia. Modernized over the years, the military focuses on strategic deterrence, mobility, cyber capabilities, and advanced technology.
