Description

Kesultanan Perlis wujud pada tahun 1843, setelah negeri Perlis dipisahkan dari Kesultanan Kedah oleh pihak Siam. Sebelum itu, Perlis merupakan sebahagian daripada wilayah Kedah. Pada tahun 1843, Tuan Syed Hussain Jamalullail dilantik sebagai Raja Perlis yang pertama oleh Siam, menjadikannya pengasas Kesultanan Perlis.
