Description
The Napoleonic British Army was known for its well-disciplined infantry, primarily composed of "redcoats" from various regiments including guards, line infantry, light infantry, and highland units, renowned for their steadfastness in battle, particularly against the French forces, and often considered one of the best armies in Europe during this period; they were characterized by their strong leadership, effective tactics like the "line" formation, and the use of the "Brown Bess" musket, with notable campaigns like the Peninsular War against Napoleon's forces in Spain and Portugal being a key part of their military history.
