Description
The State Administration Council is the Quasi Civilian - Military Provisional Administration 18 Member Council currently governing Myanmar, established by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services following the February the declaration of a state of emergency by the National Defence and Security Council. Under the constitution, the Commander-in-Chief holds absolute legislative, executive, and judicial power during a state of emergency. SAC Objectives and Goals include upholding the 2008 Constitution, reforming the electoral process to address alleged irregularities in the elections , and maintaining national stability and security. The SAC also aims to promote unity among Myanmar's diverse ethnic groups, address insurgencies, and foster economic development amidst domestic and international challenges. Additionally, it emphasizes safeguarding national sovereignty and plans to hold new elections after implementing political reforms.
