RoleplayENhistorical roleplayFrench royaltyCapetian dynasty
Description
Founded in 1284, the County of Orléans was granted to members of the Capetian dynasty, which resulted in the creation of a cadet branch. The Orléans were renown for their opulence, influence, and strength in the Kingdom of France. They more often than not held council positions and played an important role in retaining Capetian control over France, "Miracle capétien". The Orléanaise family currently reside in the Château de Saint-Cloud, where they live in luxury. They can often be seen at Château de Versailles, attending galas, balls, and feasts; and often seen handling royal duties.
