⊱ ──────ஓ๑✠๑ஓ ────── ⊰ 41. Infanterie-Regiment „von Boyen“ (5. Ostpreußisches) ⊱ ──────ஓ๑✠๑ஓ ────── ⊰ The formation of Landwehr battalions was ordered by AKO of July 28, 1859. The 1st Infantry Regiment stationed in Königsberg provided the battalions for the battalions to be formed in Königsberg, Tilsit and Wehlau. On August 10, 1859, the "1st Landwehr Infantry Regiment" was formed from them. [ 1 ] The regimental staff remained in Königsberg. The following year, on May 5, 1860, the regiment was renamed the "1st Combined Infantry Regiment" and housed in Königsberg. The regiment bore this name until July 4, 1860, from which point on the AKO gave it the name "5th East Prussian Infantry Regiment No. 41". In the course of this, the regiment formed the "1st Infantry Brigade" with the "1st East Prussian Grenadier Regiment No. 1".
