Description
The Ministry of People's Defence is the supreme organ of the socialist state responsible for organizing, commanding, and overseeing the defence of the homeland. It directs the development, training, and readiness of the armed forces in accordance with the principles of socialist patriotism and proletarian internationalism. The ministry ensures the protection of the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of the country, mobilizing all resources of the people and state to resist any aggression against the socialist motherland. It operates under the leadership of the Party of Labour and the Council of Ministers, coordinating closely with other state bodies to maintain the country’s defensive strength.
