Description
The Epikorous were non-citizen auxiliary troops of Thēbai, playing key roles in supporting the city-state's military. Made up of skilled fighters from surrounding regions, they served in various capacities, including light infantry and skirmishers. While not granted full citizen rights, they were vital to Thebes' strength in battle, often working alongside elite forces like the Thebaioi Hoplitai and the Sacred Band. Though less heavily armored, their versatility made them valuable assets on the battlefield.
