中国人民武装警察部队（下文简称“武警部队”）是中华人民共和国武装力量的重要组成部分之一，由党中央、中央军事委员会集中统一领导，担负执勤、处置突发社会安全事件、防范和处置恐怖活动、海上维权执法、抢险救援和防卫作战以及中央军事委员会赋予的其他任务。武警部队成立于1983年4月5日，前身是中国人民公安中央纵队，始建于1949年8月。
